For the seventh year in a row, Two Brothers Scrap Metal participated in Mineola Middle School’s eWaste Drive, which took place on October 27. This year’s drive brought in 6,280 pounds of electronic waste, compared to 4,240 pounds the previous year.

Two Brothers Scrap Metal announced that Terrence Quinn, a graduating high school senior from Farmingdale High School, was the recipient of the Two Brothers Scrap Metal Environmental Conservation Scholarship. On June 7, during the school’s annual awards event, Mr. Quinn was awarded a one-time, $1,000 scholarship from Two Brothers Scrap Metal. This is the sixth consecutive year that Two Brothers has awarded this competitive scholarship to a student who intends to study either environmental science or engineering while in college.

American Recycler Reports on Two Brothers’ Assistance in eWaste Drive

The December issue of American Recycler featured an article on Two Brothers Scrap Metal’s involvement in the eWaste Drive at Mineola Middle School in October. Two Brothers donated the use of a container during the event. Students and teachers encouraged local residents to drop off their unwanted and unused electronics — monitors, cell phones, laptops, etc. — to be recycled. As a result, 8,840 pounds of electronic waste was collected.
